Our Society
Food law and policy is emerging as a dynamic field of scholarship and practice in Canada. The umbrella of "food law" captures concerns about the environment, human rights, animal welfare, public health and nutrition, trade, and more! The uOttawa Food Law Society hopes to both foster dialogue and stimulate action towards the goal of advancing more sustainable and just food systems, on our campus and beyond.
The uOttawa Food Law Society is comprised of a community of students at the University of Ottawa with a common interest in food and its intersections with the law.
